History & Significance
Birla Mandir, also known as Gita Mandir, was built by the industrialist Birla family. The temple has panels depicting scenes from the Bhagavad Gita. Its elevated location provides stunning views of the city and the Yamuna River.
Visiting Rules & Guidelines
- Mobile phones and cameras are strictly prohibited inside the temple premises.
- Remove shoes before entering the temple.
- Dress modestly — avoid shorts, sleeveless tops, and revealing clothing.
- Leather items (belts, bags) may not be allowed inside.
- Follow the queue system and maintain decorum.
- Peak hours (morning opening and evening aarti) are the most crowded. Plan accordingly.
