History & Significance
Keoladeo Ghana National Park, formerly known as Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. Over 350 bird species have been recorded here, including the rare Siberian Crane.
Visiting Rules & Guidelines
- Mobile phones and cameras are strictly prohibited inside the temple premises.
- Remove shoes before entering the temple.
- Dress modestly — avoid shorts, sleeveless tops, and revealing clothing.
- Leather items (belts, bags) may not be allowed inside.
- Follow the queue system and maintain decorum.
- Peak hours (morning opening and evening aarti) are the most crowded. Plan accordingly.
