History & Significance
Keshi Ghat is named after the demon Keshi who came in the form of a horse and was killed by Krishna. The ghat is the most popular spot in Vrindavan for the evening Yamuna aarti ceremony and is a peaceful place for meditation.
Visiting Rules & Guidelines
- Mobile phones and cameras are strictly prohibited inside the temple premises.
- Remove shoes before entering the temple.
- Dress modestly — avoid shorts, sleeveless tops, and revealing clothing.
- Leather items (belts, bags) may not be allowed inside.
- Follow the queue system and maintain decorum.
- Peak hours (morning opening and evening aarti) are the most crowded. Plan accordingly.
