History & Significance
Madhuvan Temple is located in the ancient forest where the demon Madhu once performed penance. The forest is one of the twelve sacred vans of Braj and is mentioned in various Puranas.
Visiting Rules & Guidelines
- Mobile phones and cameras are strictly prohibited inside the temple premises.
- Remove shoes before entering the temple.
- Dress modestly — avoid shorts, sleeveless tops, and revealing clothing.
- Leather items (belts, bags) may not be allowed inside.
- Follow the queue system and maintain decorum.
- Peak hours (morning opening and evening aarti) are the most crowded. Plan accordingly.
