History & Significance
Manasi Ganga is a sacred lake believed to have been created by Krishna's mind (manas). When the Gopis wanted to bathe in the Ganga, Krishna created this lake so they wouldn't have to travel. The lake is surrounded by temples and ghats.
Visiting Rules & Guidelines
- Mobile phones and cameras are strictly prohibited inside the temple premises.
- Remove shoes before entering the temple.
- Dress modestly — avoid shorts, sleeveless tops, and revealing clothing.
- Leather items (belts, bags) may not be allowed inside.
- Follow the queue system and maintain decorum.
- Peak hours (morning opening and evening aarti) are the most crowded. Plan accordingly.
