History & Significance
Mehtab Bagh (Moonlight Garden) was built by Emperor Babur as the last of eleven gardens on the Yamuna's banks. Directly opposite the Taj Mahal, it offers the best vantage point for photographing the monument at sunset.
Visiting Rules & Guidelines
- Mobile phones and cameras are strictly prohibited inside the temple premises.
- Remove shoes before entering the temple.
- Dress modestly — avoid shorts, sleeveless tops, and revealing clothing.
- Leather items (belts, bags) may not be allowed inside.
- Follow the queue system and maintain decorum.
- Peak hours (morning opening and evening aarti) are the most crowded. Plan accordingly.
