Nand Bhawan

About Nand Bhawan
Nand Bhawan is the most sacred site in Gokul, believed to be the palace of Nand Baba (Krishna's foster father) where Lord Krishna spent his infancy. This temple marks the very spot where Krishna was raised with love by Yashoda Maiya and Nand Baba.
The temple complex houses several deities and features beautiful paintings depicting scenes from Krishna's childhood in Gokul. Visitors can see the place where Yashoda tied naughty Krishna to a grinding stone (the famous Damodara leela) and other sites associated with Krishna's divine pastimes.
The temple atmosphere is serene and devotional, offering visitors a glimpse into the simple, loving environment in which Krishna grew up among the cowherds of Gokul.
History
Nand Bhawan stands on the historical site of Nand Maharaj's palace in Gokul. The current temple structure has been rebuilt and renovated multiple times over the centuries. The Vallabhacharya tradition considers this a paramount holy site.
