About Prem Mandir

Prem Mandir (Temple of Divine Love) is a magnificent white marble temple in Vrindavan, built by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj. Inaugurated in 2012, this architectural masterpiece is dedicated to Radha-Krishna and Sita-Ram.

The temple is renowned for its stunning Italian white marble exterior, intricate carvings depicting scenes from Krishna's life, and its spectacular illumination show every evening. The temple complex spans over 54 acres and features beautiful gardens, fountains, and artistic depictions of Krishna's pastimes.

The ground floor houses the deities of Radha-Krishna, while the first floor features Sita-Ram. The entire exterior is adorned with 84 panels depicting divine pastimes of Krishna as described in the Srimad Bhagavatam.

History

Prem Mandir was conceived and built under the guidance of Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj, a renowned spiritual leader. Construction began in January 2001 and took over 11 years to complete. The temple was inaugurated on February 17, 2012.

The temple was built using finest quality Italian Carrara marble and features traditional Rajasthani temple architecture. It cost an estimated Rs. 150 crore and was funded entirely through donations from devotees worldwide.

Rules & Guidelines

  • Photography is allowed in the temple complex (exterior only)
  • No photography inside the sanctum sanctorum
  • Remove footwear before entering
  • Modest dress code is expected
  • The light show in the evening is a must-see

Radhashtami: Grand celebrations marking Radha's birthday with special decorations.

Janmashtami: Midnight celebrations with abhishek and special darshan.

Diwali: The entire temple is illuminated with thousands of diyas.
